MLB Chapter Rules
The MLB Chapter was formed in 2002. Our chapter was created to promote the use of the Amateur Radio 10 Meter Band and to have a little fun. Our program is quite simple. Once you have your own MLB number, you collect other MLB members on-air points and seals. As you make contacts with other members you earn your own seals.
Collecting Points
All on-air points that you collect from other members are divided by 500. Example, you collected 1000 new points from other members, you would receive 2 on air points added to your point total, when you upgrade (1000 Divided-by 500=2).
You can also earn points by collecting other members seals. Each seal you collect is worth a certain value. Once you submit a seal for credit it can not be submitted again.
Collectable Seals and Point Value
- Single Seal - 1 point each
- Double Seal - 2 points each
- Triple Seal - 3 points each
- Home Run Seal - 4 points each
- Grand Slam Seal - 5 points each
- WAT Seal - 5 points each
- WST Seal - 5 points each
- World Series Seal - 10 points each
- Allstar Seal - 10 points each
- 1k, 5k, 10K seal - 1 point each
Earning Seals
When you have made the required contacts with other MLB members you will earn the following seals. You can only use a member once. The C.M. may request a list of contacts worked.
- 25 contacts Single Seal
- 50 Contacts Double Seal
- 100 Contacts Triple Seal
- 200 Contacts Home Run Seal
- 400 contacts Grand Slam Seal
You will earn your Worked All Teams (WAT) seal, by working one member that is assigned to each team. There is a WAT seal worksheet link on the upper left hand side of this page.
You will earn your Worked All States With Teams (WST) seal, by working one member in each state that there is a MLB team. Please use the WST worksheet link on the upper left hand side of this page.
When your on-air point total reaches 1000 (1K), 5000 (5K) and 10000 (10k), you will be awarded a 1k, 5k or 10k seal
Specials
World Series Special
Each year on January 1, the MLB Chapter runs its World Series Special. This special is a spell-it, using the suffix of members call-sign and wild cards. Please use the World Series Worksheet link on the upper left hand side of this page.
Note: Only two world series seals will be collectable at any time. When the current special is over, the C.M. will stop accepting for upgrades any seals that were issued two years prior.
All Star Special
Every two years when 10-10 International holds its convention, the C.M. will issue an All Star Seal to every member that signs in at the MLB table.
Note: Only one All star Seal is collectable at a time. When the convention is over the C.M. will stop accepting the previously issued All star Seals.
Clean-up Hitter Special
Each Month the C.M. will chosse two members to be the Clean-up hitter. These members will tell you they are the monthly Clean-up Hitter. Please enter these members with the month they were worked in the comments sections of our upgrade form and you will receive 10 points for each one worked. You do not need to submit the Clean-Up Hitters in the month they were worked, you can submit them with your regular upgrades.
